Official Rules

Open only to legal residents of the (50) United States and District of Columbia, who are 18 years of age (or age of majority in their jurisdiction of residence, whichever is higher) or older.

Sponsor: Central Garden & Pet Company, 1340 Treat Blvd., Suite 600, Walnut Creek, CA 94597 (“Sponsor”)

Administrator: Promotion Management Center Inc., 31205 Falcon Avenue, Stacy, MN 55079 (“Administrator”)

     1. Sweepstakes Period: The Farnam Everything for the Ride Summer Sweepstakes (“Sweepstakes”) begins on June 2, 2025 at 12:01 a.m. Eastern Standard Time and ends on June 30, 2025 at 11:59 p.m. Eastern Standard Time (“Sweepstakes Period”). Administrator’s computer is the official clock for all purposes of the Sweepstakes.

     2. To Enter:

       (a) Go to https://www.farnam.com/castellowssweepstakes. Complete the online entry form with all required information, including your name, e-mail address and city/state of residence. All entries must be received by the end of the Sweepstakes Period.

       (b) By submitting an entry, you agree to abide by and be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of Administrator, which are final and binding in all respects.

       (c) Entry information will be used by Sponsor solely for purposes of Sweepstakes administration, unless you expressly consent to receive other communications from Sponsor. It is recommended that, BEFORE entering, you carefully review Sponsor’s Privacy Notice at https://www.central.com/central-privacy-policy regarding how Sponsor collects, uses and shares your personal data.

       (d) If your entry is eligible, you will receive one (1) instant savings coupon redeemable on a future purchase of select Farnam® horse care products. Limit of one (1) coupon per person; terms and conditions (including expiration date) apply to redemption of coupon.

       (e) Limit of one (1) entry per person. Violation of this limit will result in acceptance of only the initial entry, with all other entries declared void. Administrator reserves the right to disqualify a person from the Sweepstakes altogether if Administrator determines that a given person has engaged in repeated or egregious violations of the entry limit. Use of automated, programmed, or like means of entry (including artificial intelligence or third party sweepstakes entry services) is expressly prohibited and will result in disqualification. Proof of transmission of online entry form does not constitute proof of receipt of same or proof of entry in the Sweepstakes. Acknowledgment of receipt of entry (including issuance of Farnam coupon as set forth above) only represents a preliminary determination of one’s eligibility for the Sweepstakes and is not otherwise binding upon Administrator or Sponsor. Entries become the property of Sponsor and will not be returned.

       (f) In the event of a dispute as to the identity of an entrant, the applicable entry will be deemed submitted by the Authorized Account Holder (as defined below) of the email account used to submit the online entry form. “Authorized Account Holder” means the natural person who is assigned to an email address by an Internet access provider, on-line service provider, or other organization that is responsible for assigning email addresses for the domain associated with the submitted email address.

       (g) If participating in the Sweepstakes via mobile device, wireless Internet access and other charges may apply. It is recommended that you review your wireless carrier’s pricing plan BEFORE entering this Sweepstakes by using a mobile device. Not all mobile devices offer wireless Internet functionality; and, wireless Internet access may not be available in all areas.

     3. Winner Selection: Potential winners will be selected in a random drawing on or about July 3, 2025, to be conducted by Administrator. The random drawing will consist of all eligible entries received during the Sweepstakes Period.

     4. Winner Notification: Potential winners will be notified by Administrator via email. Potential Grand Prize winner will be required to complete, sign and return an Affidavit of Eligibility, a Liability Release, and a Publicity Release (where lawful) within three (3) business days of date of notification or Grand Prize will be forfeited without compensation of any kind and an alternate winner may be selected from among all remaining eligible entries received for the random drawing. If potential winner of Grand Prize or Runner Up Prize cannot be notified despite commercially reasonable efforts to do so (as determined by Sponsor and Administrator in their sole discretion), the corresponding prize will be forfeited without compensation of any kind and an alternate winner may be selected.

     5. Prizes/Odds of Winning:

       (a) Grand Prize (1) – Trip for winner and one (1) guest to a concert by The Castellows on October 30th, 2025 at Brooklyn Bowl in Nashville, TN. Trip includes roundtrip coach air travel to Nashville, TN from major commercial airport nearest winner’s residence; 3 days/2 nights hotel accommodations (standard room, double occupancy) in Nashville, TN; two (2) tickets to The Castellows concert; $1,000 pre-paid gift card (issuer of Sponsor’s sole choosing; issuer’s terms and conditions apply); and $1,000 in Farnam® horse care products. Total Approximate Retail Value of Grand Prize: up to $4,300.

       (b) Runner Up Prize (10) - Everything for the Ride prize package comprised of $500 in Farnam® horse care products. Approximate Retail Value: $500 each.

TOTAL APPROXIMATE RETAIL VALUE OF ALL PRIZES: $9,300.

Odds of winning a prize depend on the total number of eligible entries received during the Sweepstakes Period.

     6. Prize Restrictions:

       (a) Grand Prize:

         • Grand Prize winner must be able to travel to attend The Castellows concert on October 30, 2025. If winner is unavailable to do so for any reason, Grand Prize will be forfeited in its entirety without compensation of any kind and an alternate winner may be selected.
         • Sponsor will determine air carrier, flight itinerary, and hotel property in its sole discretion. Winner and guest must travel together on the same flight itinerary. Winner and guest are solely responsible for securing any necessary travel documents, including without limitation, REAL ID for air travel. For hotel stay, Grand Prize winner must provide a valid credit card/debit card or other payment method at time of check-in.Sponsor will not be held liable for any damage to hotel property during winner/guest stay.
         • Guest will be required to complete, sign and return a Liability Release and a Publicity Release (where lawful) prior to travel. If guest is a minor in their state of residence (generally, under 18 years of age), the Grand Prize winner must be the minor’s parent or legal guardian and they must sign the Liability Release and a Publicity Release (where lawful) on their minor child’s behalf. Should winner elect to accept the Grand Prize without a guest, the Grand Prize will be modified and awarded in increments appropriate only for the winner themselves (including only one [1] ticket to The Castellows concert) with the Approximate Retail Value of the Grand Prize being reduced accordingly and, in such case, no substitute prize or compensation will be awarded.
         • Tickets to The Castellows concert are subject to the terms and conditions stated thereon/provided therewith, including prohibition on re-sale as well as policy if The Castellows concert cannot be held as intended. Policies of the venue hosting The Castellows concert also apply to ticket usage. Sponsor will determine the type of tickets and seat location at The Castellows concert in its sole discretion.
         • Winner and guest must conduct themselves at all times in an appropriate, well-behaved, and respectable manner during the trip including without limitation during flights, hotel stay and their attendance at The Castellows concert. Should winner and/or guest fail to do so, as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion, any remaining elements of the Grand Prize will be forfeited without further liability of any kind to Sponsor.
         • If Administrator determines in its sole discretion that winner lives within reasonable driving distance of Nashville, TN hosting The Castellows concert, ground transportation (or a stipend in an amount of Administrator’s sole choosing to be used to pay for ground transportation) will be awarded in lieu of air travel with the Approximate Retail Value of the Grand Prize being reduced accordingly and no substitute prize or compensation will be awarded.
         • Winner and guest will not receive any award points, frequent flyer miles, or similar “perks” in conjunction with Grand Prize trip.
         • Sponsor has not arranged for any insurance for winner and guest in conjunction with Grand Prize trip; if desired, securing such insurance is the sole responsibility of winner and guest and at their sole expense.
         • The Approximate Retail Value of the Grand Prize set forth in Section 5 above reflects Sponsor’s good faith estimate as to its value. Should the actual value of the Grand Prize differ from the above-indicated Approximate Retail Value, winner will not receive the difference in cash or otherwise.

       (b) In General:

         • Limit of one (1) prize per household

         • All unspecified expenses incurred in redeeming/accepting or using prize are the sole responsibility of the winner.

         • All federal, state and other taxes on prize are the sole responsibility of the winner. Grand Prize winner will be issued an IRS 1099 Tax Form reflecting the fair market value of the prize. Grand Prize winner further agrees to fully cooperate with Sponsor and its designated representatives as to Sponsor’s compliance with the IRS filing requirement, including by providing their Social Security Number or Tax Identification Number via IRS W9 Tax Form upon request.

         • With the sole exception of pre-paid gift card element of Grand Prize where required by applicable law, prizes are not redeemable or exchangeable for cash by winner.

         • Prize must be accepted as awarded. No prize substitution is allowed except by Sponsor in its sole discretion if a prize or element of a prize is unavailable for any reason and only then for a prize/prize element of comparable value.

         • If any element of prize is unused or declined by winner, no substitute prize or compensation will be awarded

         • SPONSOR MAKES NO REPRESENTATION, GUARANTEE OR WARRANTY OF ANY KIND (DIRECT OR INDIRECT, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED) REGARDING ANY PRIZE OR ANY ELEMENT THEREOF, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR THE INTENDED PURPOSE. (The preceding only excludes Farnam® horse care products, to the extent of any product guarantee/warranty made by Sponsor on its products).

     7. Eligibility: Employees, officers and directors as well as their immediate families† and members of their same household (whether related or not) of (a) Central Garden & Pet Company, its subsidiaries and affiliates and (b) Administrator.

     †Immediate families means: parents, grandparents, siblings, children, spouse, aunts, uncles, and nephews/nieces.

     8. Conditions of Participation:

       (a) BY ACCEPTING PRIZE, WINNER RELEASES, INDEMNIFIES AND AGREES TO HOLD HARMLESS (W) CENTRAL GARDEN & PET COMPANY, ITS SUBSIDIARIES AND AFFILIATES; (X) ADMINISTRATOR; (Y) THE MANAGEMENT AND REPRESENTATION OF THE CASTELLOWS (AS WELL AS ELEANOR BALKCOM, LILY BALKCOM AND POWELL BALKCOM PERSONALLY); AND (Z) AS APPLICABLE, THEIR RESPECTIVE DIRECTORS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, SHAREHOLDERS, REPRESENTATIVES, AGENTS, PRIZE SUPPLIERS, SUCCESSORS AND ASSIGNS, FROM ANY AND ALL LIABILITY ARISING FROM PARTICIPATING IN THE SWEEPSTAKES, ANY SWEEPSTAKES-RELATED ACTIVITY OR THE ACCEPTANCE, POSSESSION, RECEIPT, OR USE/ATTEMPTED USE/MISUSE OF PRIZE, IF AND AS APPLICABLE.

       (b) BY ACCEPTING PRIZE, EXCEPT WHERE PROHIBITED BY LAW, WINNER GRANTS TO CENTRAL GARDEN & PET COMPANY AND ITS DESIGNEES THE RIGHT TO USE THEIR NAME, PHOTO, IMAGE, LIKENESS, NICKNAME, VOICE, CITY/STATE OF RESIDENCE AND OTHER INDICIA OF PERSONA FOR PROMOTION, MARKETING AND TRADE PURPOSES WITHOUT FURTHER COMPENSATION OR NOTICE OF ANY KIND. (HOWEVER, NOTHING HEREIN IN ANY WAY OBLIGATES CENTRAL GARDEN & PET COMPANY AND ITS DESIGNEES TO UTILIZE SUCH RIGHTS AND, BY REFRAINING FROM DOING SO, CENTRAL GARDEN & PET COMPANY AND ITS DESIGNEES SHALL NOT HAVE ANY LIABILITY UNDER ANY LEGAL THEORY.)

       (c) Sponsor and Administrator disclaim any liability or responsibility for late, lost, illegible/garbled, corrupted, incomplete, inaccessible/blocked, jumbled, damaged, delayed, stolen, or misdirected online entry forms (all of which are void); any incomplete, incorrect, or inaccurate information, whether caused by web site users, tampering, hacking or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the Sweepstakes or by any technical or human error; any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to, or alteration of any web site or entries; and any problems or technical malfunctions of any telephone network or lines, computer on-line-systems, servers or providers, computer equipment, software, programming or failure of email on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any web site or any combination thereof; or for injury or damage to entrant’s or to any person’s mobile device or desktop computer (or any information/materials stored therein) related to or resulting from downloading materials from any web site or participating in the Sweepstakes.

       (d) Should there be any inconsistency between information contained in these Official Rules and in any advertising materials created in conjunction with the Sweepstakes, these Official Rules will prevail, govern and control in all respects.

       (e) The failure of Sponsor or Administrator to enforce any provision of these Official Rules shall NOT function as a waiver of such provision.

       (f) FORCE MAJEURE. If the Sweepstakes cannot be conducted as originally planned due to any cause beyond Sponsor’s control (e.g., computer virus, act of fraud, strike, civil commotion, natural disaster, pandemic/epidemic, government order [whether or not ultimately upheld as being lawful]), Sponsor may cancel, suspend, or modify the Sweepstakes and, to the extent feasible, select the winners in a manner which is determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion to be fair, appropriate and consistent with these Official Rules. Notice of such action by Sponsor will be posted at https://www.farnam.com/castellowssweepstakes.

       (g) Tampering of any kind with the Sweepstakes (including the entry process), interfering with the conduct of the Sweepstakes in any way, or attempting to defraud Sponsor or Administrator in any respect (including in conjunction with Sweepstakes entry or prize claim) will result in disqualification from the Sweepstakes. In such event, in addition to disqualification from the Sweepstakes, Sponsor and Administrator each reserve the right to pursue all available legal remedies so as to protect their respective rights.

     9. Miscellaneous:

       (a) Dispute Resolution/Choice of Law. Any dispute or claim regarding the Sweepstakes will be resolved pursuant to the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflicts of law principles of California or of any other jurisdiction. All entrants consent to the personal and exclusive jurisdiction of California State Court situate in Contra Costa County, California or the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California and waive any right of change of venue, forum non conveniens or the like. Entrants further agree, to the fullest extent permitted by law, that any legal action regarding the Sweepstakes will be brought individually (and not as part of a class action) and that their recovery in any such legal action shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred in participating in the Sweepstakes (if any), with any right to other damages of any kind or equitable/injunctive relief being expressly waived. Further, any dispute/claim must be brought within one (1) year of the conclusion of the Sweepstakes Period and, after such time, any dispute/claim shall be forever banned.

       (b) Winners’ List. For names of winners (first name, last initial; city/state), send a self-addressed stamped envelope to Administrator at the above address, with Farnam Everything for the Ride Summer Sweepstakes Winners included on the outer envelope, to be received by July 25, 2025. Winners’ list will be available after August 15, 2025.
